GET SCOUT

The web shows the inventory. Scout shows the listings.

On the web, a model page and the hunt list are our inventory view — every model on the market, how many are for sale and where, the price band, the Z3stimate. The listings themselves, the gated sites included, open inside Scout's own client, because there your own browser fetches each page in your own session: Scout never copies or stores a listing on its servers; it reads what you fetch, dedupes it and prices it against the Z3stimate.

The extension, in Chrome

Every model page and hunt fills in place (Edge, Brave and Arc load it too). During the pilot it installs from a folder — Chrome allows one-click installs only from its Web Store, where Scout's listing follows the pilot:

  1. Download the Scout extension (zip) and unzip it — a folder named scout-ext-…
  2. Open chrome://extensions and switch on Developer mode (top right)
  3. Load unpacked → pick that folder
  4. The card reads Scout — live listings. Come back to any model page or hunt: the invitation gives way to the listings.

Current version:

Updating: download again, remove the old card, load the new folder. A reloaded card can keep running the old code.

The app, on iPhone

The same pages, with a phone's own browser doing the fetching. Pilot access is by TestFlight invitation — ask Scout in the hunt, or write to us from the contact page.

The app, on Android

Follows iPhone. Until then the extension in Chrome on a computer is the way in.

Scout for Mac

The app is the same pages in their own window, with one thing the web cannot do: it fetches each listing in your own session, invisibly — no extension, no Developer mode, and it keeps itself up to date.

Download Scout for Mac

  1. Open the disk image and drag Scout to Applications.
  2. First launch: right-click Scout → Open (the pilot build is not notarized yet, so macOS asks once).
  3. That is all — Scout updates itself from then on.

Chrome with the extension does the same job on a Mac if you would rather stay in your browser.

Whichever you use: your cookies, your address, your session — Scout behaves like the browser you already are. No proxies, no puzzles solved for you, nothing of a listing kept on our side.
