Quorning Boats is a Danish family yard that has spent two generations perfecting one boat. From Skærbæk, Børge Quorning and then his son Jens built the Dragonfly line around the patented Swing Wing — crossbeams that swing the amas aft and inboard, halving the beam in about a minute a side — and around a build standard that gets compared to furniture more often than to other boatyards. Dragonflies are the multihull world's Porsches: nobody argues about the quality, only about the bill.

The bill, precisely, from our shelf: 36 Dragonflies live, from $27,949 to $388,800. We hold full files at both ends of the curve — the 800, where the Swing Wing began in 1989 and where the brand now costs runabout money, and the 28 that replaced it, holding $146,000-plus a decade after launch — plus a 32 Supreme whose model page is still being stocked. That value retention is the honest headline of the whole marque: you pay the premium once, and the next owner pays most of it back.

What the premium doesn't waive: the Swing Wing is precision machinery and wants its service history, the cabins are Scandinavian-rational rather than generous, and rare boats mean patient shopping — the used market is a queue, not a bazaar. Whether a fast folding tri is the right whole-cruising-life answer is weighed honestly here; the Danes line up with everyone else at the trimarans for sale.
