2019 Pogo Structures Pogo 36 — Marina del Rey

A 2019 Pogo 36, "Expresso", at Marina del Rey, asking $348,500 through Naos Yachts. The design is Finot-Conq's cruising translation of what Pogo Structures builds at Combrit — shorthanded ocean racers — drawn in 2016 to replace the Pogo 10.50: 35.63 ft of hull carrying 13.12 ft of beam, so form stability does the work a deep bulb does on heavier boats. The type took European Yacht of the Year 2017 in the performance-cruiser class, and the boat-test press had it holding double figures offwind in 15 knots. That is the model's whole idea: race-boat averages with berths.

Two honesty notes. There is no sister Pogo 36 on our shelf, so we cannot say whether $348,500 is keen for a 2019 example. And it is the most expensive boat in its comparable set by some margin — the conventional cruisers near its length on the monohull shelf ask $49,900–$149,000. The money buys the newest hull and the modern design; know that going in.

The yard's own ladder frames the ask best. The 2012 Pogo 12.50 lying in Trinidad is the same idea at passage size — four more feet, seven years older, $113,500 less:
