The Corsair 28 is Ian Farrier's F-28 carried on under the yard's own name — successor to the F-27, the folding trailerable trimaran that made Corsair Marine's reputation across some 450 hulls — with the larger amas, rotating wing mast and retractable sprit of the second generation. The signature is the folding beam itself: 28.5 ft of hull spreading 19.75 ft at sea and narrowing to road width at the ramp. The cc is the cruising reading of that platform — center cockpit, a private aft cabin behind it, dinette, galley, enclosed head — the most accommodation this hull was ever asked to carry.

One honesty note. This is the only Corsair 28 on our shelf, so no sister ship benchmarks the price, and we have not seen the boat — year, length and the broker's asking figure are what this page stands on.

What the shelf does place is the position: every trimaran over 27 feet we hold asks more than this one, and everything asking less gives up at least two feet of hull, most of it a decade older.
