A 2021 Cape 31 — "Short Echo" — asking $165,100 through 31 North Group / RacingYachts.com. The design is Mark Mills's answer to Lord Irvine Laidlaw's 2017 commission: a strict one-design drawn for Royal Cape Yacht Club racing and built in Cape Town, an all-rounder in breeze or light air. The idea travelled — seventy-plus hulls, the strongest fleets in the Solent and the United States — and the class stayed strict: measured sails, crew limits, no handicap arguments.

What this hull adds to that story, our data cannot say: the listing we carry states no location, inventory or condition — and on a one-design racer the sail wardrobe is a real share of the price. The type settles the rest: this is a day racer; the interior exists for sail stacking, not for living aboard.
