The yard exists on the premise that the folding trailer-tri was solved and the folding ocean boat was not, and the 40 is that argument in carbon: Morrelli & Melvin lines, laid up in Vietnam, twin asymmetric C-foils. The signature is the fold itself — 28.87 ft of sailing beam collapsing to roughly 16 ft alongside, which is how a platform this wide takes an ordinary berth. It is a current-year build of a model too new to have a used market.

That is the honest problem with the price: with no second Rapido 40 on our shelf to benchmark against, nothing here says whether $783,000 is keen or steep for a 2025 example — only that it is a nearly-new boat from a small yard, priced as one.

What the shelf does place is the neighbourhood.
