2013 Gemini Legacy 35 — Green Cove Springs, FL 32043
2013 · 35.0 ft · All Florida Yacht Sales · The design file
A 2013 Gemini Legacy 35 at Green Cove Springs, Florida, asking $139,990 through All Florida Yacht Sales. The Legacy was the Gemini reinvented — drawn by the Marlow-Hunter design team with Tony Smith, whose 105Mc sold in four figures, and built in Florida from late 2012. The signature number survived: 13.98 ft of beam on 35.33 ft of hull, narrow enough for a monohull slip at a monohull rate. Under it, most things changed: twin 15 hp Yanmars for the old centreline diesel and its swivelling leg, sugar-scoop transoms, a square-top main, fixed keels where the 105Mc had pivoting boards.
Two things plainly. Those fixed keels cost the line its trick — the 105Mc floated in eighteen inches, the Legacy draws 2 ft 10 in — and the design's record is coastal cruising, not ocean passages. And with no second Legacy 35 in front of us and no condition or engine-hours detail in the file, $139,990 is an asking price, not a checked one.
Against the cats below, the trade is legible. This is much the youngest hull of the three and the shortest; the boats near its money are 1990s and mid-2000s cruisers of 36 to 41 ft. You buy systems life and pay for it in feet — catamaran money under $200k.
The same coastal brief, older and cheaper: the 1998 PDQ 36 LRC at Georgetown, South Carolina, $95,000:

Where the opposite instinct leads is volume: the 2005 Lagoon 380 asks $167,400 for three more feet and 21 ft of beam — a catamaran berth, at catamaran rates:
The upgrade on size, if the budget stretches, is a 2004 Lagoon 410 S2 at Kemah, Texas, at $189,999:

But if the point is a cat you can berth like a monohull, this is the one to survey first:
